Meet Our Dentists

Dr. Leanne Easson


Leanne is proud to be practicing in her hometown of Berwick. After graduating from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science with honours in biology in 2011, Dr. Easson attended Dalhousie Dentistry, graduating in 2015 with a doctor of dental surgery degree.  Leanne enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and is committed to overall patient health and well-being, as well as patient education. She has a keen interest in cosmetic treatment, orthodontic treatment with clear aligners, and recently completed certification in therapeutic and cosmetic Botox treatment. She is a member and past president of the Annapolis Valley Dental Society and a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association. 

 

In her spare time, Leanne enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially at the family cottage at Lake George.

Dr. Scott Schofield

​

Born and raised in the Annapolis Valley, Scott is the proud father of three wonderful children: Penelope, Fiona, and Alistair.  He married his high school sweetheart, Dr Elizabeth Jackson (Kentville), who is also a graduate of Dalhousie Dental School class of 2006.  His primary interest outside of work is spending quality time with family and friends, while playing, coaching and watching soccer is a close second.  Scott is an active member of the local and provincial dental associations. Dr Schofield loves dentistry and is a life-long learner, taking a wide variety of continuing education courses.  Dental implant placement and rebuilding of teeth is a keen interest, receiving the Master Clinician designation by the GIDE Academy.  Other courses include Advanced General Dentistry & Cosmetic Dental Procedures (Dawson Academy), Intravenous (IV) Conscious Sedation and Oral Surgery for the General Dentist.  

 

Dr Schofield shares his time between his family practice AppleTown Dental Centre (in Berwick) and Fundy Dental Centre | Emergency Clinic (in Coldbrook).

Dr. Paul Coady
 

Before joining AppleTown Dental Centre in 2018, Dr. Coady maintained his own practice in Annapolis Royal. Paul and his sidekick Dorothy are pleased to be able to provide the same quality care for their patients in Berwick that they have been since opening the Annapolis Royal practice in 1982. 

 

Paul is a graduate of Mount Allison University, where he completed an honours degree in chemistry in 1978. Following this, he attended Dalhousie Dentistry, graduating in 1982. During his career, he has been president of the Annapolis Valley Dental Society, and is a Life Member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association. Paul has also enjoyed being involved with the Lions Club, where he is a life member of Lions International. 

 

Paul and his wife Brenda raised their three daughters, Emily, Rebecca and Hilary in Annapolis Royal, and now they have the pleasure of being grandparents to Drew, Dax, Hudson and Hugh. In their spare time, they enjoy skiing, biking, boating, golf and travelling.

Dr. Saravpreet (Sara) Kaur

 

Dr. Kaur grew up in Punjab India and moved to Canada in 2016. In India, she studied dentistry and then completed a Periodontology Residency Program in 2015. After coming to Canada in 2016, she started the process to get her license to practice dentistry in Canada and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Dalhousie University. She was the recipient of the Dr. Sura Hadad Scholarship in Dentistry, Dr. Bill McInnis Scholarship, and the CFAO award for achievement in undergraduate Orthodontics during her time at Dal. Sara holds an interest in all aspects of General dentistry and believes in constant professional growth through continuing education.

 

She is certified in Nitrous Oxide – Oxygen Sedation and therapeutic and esthetic Botox treatment, and has also been involved in Pediatric Dentistry and Special needs care with General Anesthesia.
 

Sara fell in love with Nova Scotia when she moved here with her husband, Manbir, in 2018 and they decided to make it their home. She lives in Wolfville with her husband and their three cats and enjoys walks on the beach, hiking trails, and relaxing with a good book.

Our Reception and Support Staff 


These smiling faces are the first to greet you when you walk through the door, but our reception and support staff are also working behind the scenes to help our days run smoothly. From answering calls and scheduling appointments to helping you with insurance claims and payments, they are pivotal in the success of our clinic.

Our Dental Assistants 


Dental assistants work side by side with our dentists to provide optimal patient care. Our team of assistants are very knowledgeable about all aspects of dentistry.  Aside from this, they are professional, compassionate and skilled at easing the mind of an anxious patient.

Our Hygienists 


We are proud of the preventative care that we are able to provide our patients. Our hygienists are able to help you manage and monitor your oral health through both hands-on treatment and patient education. Having your teeth cleaned on a regular basis is key to maintaining your teeth over your lifetime. Our team is pleased to provide this care in a gentle, thorough and informative manner.
